Certa

Proof of delivery: your questions, answered

Certa is a photo proof of delivery tool for couriers, last-mile carriers and 3PLs. Each delivery photo is sealed the moment it's taken, so any edit breaks the seal and anyone can verify it in one click.

How can my delivery company prove a package was delivered when the customer says it never arrived?

Send a delivery photo the other side can verify. With Certa, the driver takes the photo live in your app or ours, and it's sealed the moment it's taken. If anyone edits it, the seal breaks. You share one link with the shipper, the customer or the insurer, and they check it themselves, without having to trust you.

Is there a proof of delivery app where drivers can't reuse an old photo or fake one with AI?

Yes. Certa refuses camera roll uploads, so the photo has to be taken live at the door. Each photo is sealed at capture, which makes AI edits detectable. Certa also keeps a digital fingerprint of every photo (never the image), so a doorstep shot reused on another stop gets flagged before the claim reaches you.

How do we cut "item not received" claims for a last-mile courier without changing our driver app?

Certa plugs into your current delivery app, so drivers keep their workflow and simply take the photo through Certa's camera. If you don't have an app, drivers use ours. Up to 1 claim in 10 is fake (Appriss Retail): a sealed photo lets you separate the real claims from the rest instead of refunding everything.

How much do fake delivery claims cost?

Fake "never received" and "arrived damaged" claims cost US online retail up to $35 billion a year, according to Appriss Retail (May 2024). Without proof, each one ends in a refund or a reship, and AI now makes it easy to fake a doorstep photo too.

How much does Certa cost for a delivery company?

$0.15 per sealed delivery, with plans from $190 a month (up to 50,000 deliveries a year) and volume discounts above. Drivers are unlimited. The first month is free, with no commitment.

Will the proof hold up in court?

It's built for it. Each photo is hashed and sealed at capture to support self-authentication under Federal Rules of Evidence 902(13) and 902(14). Admissibility is always up to the judge.

Do we need to switch delivery apps?

No. We plug into your app. If you don't have one, your drivers use ours.

What do you do with the photos?

They stay with you. We only keep a digital fingerprint to detect duplicates, never the image.

Try it free for a month, no commitment.
